Renewable electricity producer's income tax optimisation proposal

Abstract:

Předložená práce je zaměřena na optimalizaci daňového zatížení společnosti provozující výrobny elektrické energie z obnovitelných zdrojů. Teoretická část se zabývá problematikou podnikání ve fotovoltaice, charakterizuje daň z příjmů fyzických a právnických osob v České republice, daňový ráj a motivy společností, které daňových rájů využívají. Dále jsou přiblížena specifika vybraných daňových rájů. Praktická část je zaměřena na analýzu holdingové struktury využívající daňových rájů k daňové optimalizaci a dále je analyzován celkový finanční přínos pro vlastníka společnosti. Model této společnosti je porovnáván s dalšími dvěma modely společností, které mezinárodní daňové plánování nevyužívají. Závěr praktické části je věnován výsledkům analýzy a jejich zhodnocení, jsou zde shrnuty klady a zápory jednotlivých variant s doporučením budoucích kroků.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the tax optimisation of the company running solar power plants. The theoretical part includes the explanation of the solar business background, it describes individual and corporation income tax in the Czech Republic, the definition of a tax haven and the reasons why companies use the tax havens. This part also defines the basic specifics of the chosen tax havens. The practical part focuses on the analysis of the particular company using the tax havens for the tax optimisation and on the final net income for the company's ultimate beneficial owner. The model of this company is compared with the two other models of the companies that do not use the international tax planning. The end of the practical part sums up the results of the conducted analysis and its evaluation. The advantages and disadvantages of the particular models are given and the recommendation for the future steps are suggested.
