Disinformation as a tabloid press media communication strategy

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá konstrukcí mediálních dezinformací v českém bulvárním tisku od roku 2003 doposud. Vychází z teorie fámy, dezinformace a skandálu. Užitými výzkumnými metodami je obsahová analýza a interpretativní sociologické čtení. První zmíněná metoda sloužila k analýze komunikačních strategií použitých při tvorbě dezinformace. Na základě výsledků obsahové analýzy byla vytvořena typologie dezinformačních strategií. Jednotlivé strategie definuje zejména způsob užité argumentace, zdrojování, techniky klamání a určité specifické persvazivní techniky. Interpretativní sociologické čtení bylo využito ke zkoumání hodnot a norem, které dezinformace obhajují, a způsobu jejich reprodukce. Z velké části se jedná o hodnoty, které lze nazvat dominantními. Ve většině případů probíhá reprodukce těchto hodnot tak, jak popisuje teorie skandálu, tedy spojením konkrétní osoby s hodnotami opačnými a jejím veřejným odsouzením.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with construction of disinformation in czech tabloid press media since 2003. It is based mainly on theories of disinformation, rumour and scandal. Used research methods are content analysis and interpretative sociological reading. First mentioned method was used to analyze communication strategies used in process of disinformation construction. The typology of disinformation strategies was created on the basis of content analysis outcome. Individual strategies are defined especially by the used argumentation, sourcing, techniques of deception and some specific techniques of persuation. Interpretative sociological reading was used for exploration of values and norms justificated in disinformation texts and the way of their justification. Those values can be basically described as dominant values. In most cases justification of values follows the mechanism that is described by theory of scandal. Individual people are connected with deviant values and they are criticised and rejected later on.
