Nové výzvy v podnikových financích a treasury managementu nadnárodních společností

Abstract:

Předložená habilitační práce „Nové výzvy v podnikových financích a treasury managementu nadnárodních společností“ (v angličtině „Emerging Challenges in Corporate Finance and Treasury Management of Multinational Companies“) je tvořena devíti zdánlivě nezávislými kapitolami, které jsou však vzájemně propojeny a jejichž základnou a jakýmsi jednotícím prvkem jsou první a osmá kapitola. Všechny kapitoly představují jednotlivě publikované články věnované tradičním činnostem, vývojovým trendům i novám výzvám v podnikových financích a treasury managementu zahrnující období až do roku 2020, jež jsou nazírány z různých úhlů pohledu. Jedná se o články a knihy publikované v letech 2009-2020 v časopisech, které jsou – s výjimkou Journal of Corporate Treasury Management (který je zaměřen spíše na podnikovou praxi a kde se dělí o své zkušenosti především autoři z korporátní sféry – indexovány ve Scopusu a/nebo Clarivate Web of Science. U některých článků se jedná o práce připravené se zahraničním spoluautorem (USA, Švédsko, Brunej, Velká Británie, Čína, atp.), ať již z praxe nebo z akademické instituce. Stavba práce respektuje postup od obecného ke zvláštnímu, od teoretických východisek k praxi. Teoretická část jednotlivých kapitol práce je zpracována na základě dostupné literatury a internetových zdrojů. Praktická část se potom zabývá zhodnocením výsledků uvedení teoretických poznatků a předpokladů do praktické činnosti, ať již firmy nebo vlády. Metody použité v práci (viz níže) byly uplatňovány na základě systémového přístupu tak, aby se výsledky jimi dosažené vzájemně doplňovaly a ověřovaly.

Abstract:

This post-doctorate dissertation consists of nine seemingly independent chapters mutually interconnected with the first chapter which forms their basis and unifying feature. Individually, all chapters represent published articles dedicated to traditional activities, evolutionary trends and new challenges in corporate finance and treasury management, observed from different perspectives. The articles concerned appeared in academic publications and - with the exception of the Journal of Corporate Treasury Management and books – have been indexed in Scopus or Clarivate’s Web of Science during the period 2009 to 2020. Several articles feature foreign co-authors (from the US, Sweden, Brunei, UK, China, India), both practitioners and academicians. The structure of the thesis observes the principle of progression from the general to the specific, from theoretical concepts to practical applications. The theoretical part of each individual chapter has been conceived with recourse to available sources of literature and the internet. The practical part comprises an evaluation of empirical results, practical application of theoretical findings and assumptions in both private enterprise and government.
