Abstract:

Cílem práce Logistika a SCM maloobchodního řetězce je představit moderní přístupy k supply chain managementu (SCM) a použití logistických technologií u nadnárodních retailingových společností na příkladu společnosti TESCO se zaměřením na britský a český trh. Práce se dělí na dvě části - teoretická část nejprve charakterizuje logistiku a SCM a maloobchodní trh. První tři kapitoly představí základní pojmy v logistice a SCM, současné trendy v retailingu a situaci na retailingovém trhu v ČR, dále identifikují vybrané oblasti zájmu a logistické technologie, jež jsou klíčové pro navrhování a následné provozování retailingového logistického řetězce. Představené okruhy ukazují současné otázky a výzvy v rychle se měnící době. Ve čtvrté kapitole je zpracován přehled aktivit nadnárodní společnosti TESCO PLC, který má za úkol čtenáře seznámit se základními informacemi o společnosti, jejích vizích a strategii. Poslední dvě kapitoly se zabývají logistickými řešeními společnosti TESCO na trhu Velké Británie a ČR se zaměřením na vzájemné společné rysy.

Abstract:

The aim of this master thesis ,Logistics and SCM in retail ' is to introduce modern supply chain management (SCM) and logistics approaches and technologies used by multinational retail companies through the example of the TESCO company, while focusing on the UK and Czech retail market. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical section describes logistics and SCM with focus on retail markets. The first three chapters introduce the basic SCM concepts, current trends and challenges in retail logistics and identify the key areas of interest of a retail supply chain. The analytical part explores the systematic steps undertaken by TESCO that helped the company gain a competitive advantage on the markets. It begins by outlining the activities of transnational TESCO PLC, which should provide the reader with basic information about the company, its vision and strategy. The last two chapters look into TESCO's supply chain solutions in Great Britain and the Czech Republic with a focus on common traits and features.
