Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma „Sourozenci dětí postižených autismem“ je rozčleněna do pěti kapitol. První z nich je zaměřena na téma autismus. Na prvních stránkách práce je pojem autismus vymezen a zasazen do historie. Součástí kapitoly je triáda problémových oblastí, které jsou charakteristické pro lidi s poruchami autistického spektra. Jsou jimi komunikace, sociální interakce a představivost. Závěr kapitoly je věnován výčtu jednotlivých poruch autistického spektra a jejich charakteristikám. Druhá kapitola se zabývá rodinou dítěte s autismem. Popisujeme v ní možné reakce rodičů poté, co se dozvědí, že je jejich dítě postiženo autismem. Jsou zde také uvedeny fáze, kterými rodiče procházejí od doby sdělení diagnózy lékaři až po vyrovnání se s postižením dítěte. (K tomu však nemusí úplně vždy dojít.) V závěru jsou uvedeny výchovné postoje a styly, které rodiče na své postižené děti uplatňují. Třetí kapitola je věnována sourozencům a vztahům mezi nimi. Sourozenecké konstelace neboli pořadí, v jakém se dítě narodí do rodiny, nám odhalují určité charakteristické rysy těchto dětí. Závěrečná část třetí kapitoly je věnována žárlivosti a rivalitě mezi sourozenci, ať už zdravými nebo ve vztahu k těm postiženým. Navazující čtvrtá kapitola je zaměřena přímo na sourozence dětí s autismem. Zdravý jedinec v takovéto rodině může řešit zcela specifické problémové situace, které vycházejí ze sourozencova postižení. Závěr kapitoly popisuje potřeby zdravých sourozenců. Poslední kapitola práce obsahuje výzkumné šetření. Jsou v ní analyzovány rozhovory se zdravými jedinci, kteří mají sourozence postiženého autismem. Plné znění těchto rozhovorů je součástí práce. Dále zde uvádíme závěry a výsledky našeho šetření.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis dealing with the topic “Siblings of Children Suffering from Autism” is divided into five chapters. The first one focuses on autism. The first several pages define the term autism and set it into historical context. The chapter also contains a triad of problematic areas characteristic for people of suffering from autism spectrum disorders. The areas are communication, social interaction, and imagination. The end of the chapter is devoted to the listing of the individual autistic spectrum disorders and their features. The second chapter deals with the family of an autistic child. It describes the potential reactions of parents upon learning that their child suffers from autism. The chapter also includes phases which parents go through since the time of hearing the diagnosis from doctors until coming to terms with it. (Which may never ultimately occur.) The end of the chapter lists parenting approaches and styles which parents employ when raising children with disabilities. The third chapter is devoted to siblings and the relationships between them. Sibling constellations , or the order in which children are born into the family, reveal certain characteristic features of these children. The final part of the chapter is devoted to jealousy and rivalry between siblings, whether healthy ones or in relation to the ones with disability. The following fourth chapter is focused specifically on the siblings of children with autism. In such a family, a healthy individual may have to cope with very specific issues which stem from the disability of their sibling. The end of the chapter describes the needs of healthy siblings. The final chapter of the thesis covers the research. It analyses interviews with healthy individuals whose siblings suffer from autism. The full length of these interviews is a part of the thesis. It also presents the conclusions and results of the research.
