Problematics of alcohol consumption in selected families in terms of social work

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou konzumace alkoholu ve vybraných rodinách z hlediska sociální práce. Cílem mé bakalářské práce je zjistit, jaká je míra konzumace alkoholu v náhodně vybraných rodinách, vědomostní úroveň respondentů týkající se prevence, negativního dopadu dlouhodobého užívání a možností poskytnutí sociální pomoci při problémech s alkoholem na území města Bohumína. Pojednává o problémech, které způsobuje dlouhodobá a nadměrná konzumace alkoholu. Teoretická část se obecně zabývá alkoholem, popisuje závislost, její vznik a následný vývoj. Dále se zaobírá podporou zdraví, zdůrazňuje prevenci a objasňuje postoj sociální práce v oblasti závislosti na alkoholu. V empirické části je použita kvantitativní metoda dotazníkového šetření, která se zaměřuje na získávání informací o míře konzumace alkoholu v rodinách, jaké sociální a zdravotní důsledky alkohol způsobuje a zjišťuje vědomosti respondentů o prevenci a znalosti v oblasti vyhledání odborné sociální pomoci.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis deals with the theme of alcohol consumption in selected families in terms of social care. The main objective is to find out what is the level of alcohol consumption in randomly selected families as well as what is the knowledge level of respondents as regards the prevention, the negative impact of long-term use of alcohol and the possibilities of providing social assistance for those who have alcohol problems on the territory of the city of Bohumín. The Bachelor thesis discusses the problems that are caused by the long-term excessive alcohol use. The theoretical part deals with the issue of alcohol generally. It describes alcohol dependence, its emergence and the subsequent development. The Bachelor thesis also deals with health promotion with the emphasis placed on prevention and clarifies the position of social work in the field of alcohol dependence. In the research the quantitative method of questionnaire survey is used which is aimed at obtaining information on the level of alcohol consumption in families and what are the social and health consequences of alcohol consumption. The purpose of this questionnaire is to investigate the knowledge of respondents about prevention and knowledge in seeking professional social assistance.
