Analysis of the activities of the Organization of social female workers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je vypracována na téma Analýza aktivit Organizace sociálních pracovnic. Cílem práce je analyzovat činnosti Organizace sociálních pracovnic v letech 1922-1937 na území Československé republiky a poukázat tím na přínos pro současnou praxi sociální práce a obohacení odborného oborového diskurzu. Pro výzkumnou metodologii byl použit historický výzkum, kdy jako jeho metoda byla využita obsahová analýza. Informace byly čerpány z primární a sekundární literatury. Z primárních zdrojů byly využívány archiválie uložené v Archivu Národního Muzea v Praze a archivu Společnosti sociálních pracovníků. Jednalo se především o výroční zprávy, dochované časopisy, fotografie, vzpomínky. Sekundární literatura byla převážně čerpána z Univerzitní knihovny Ostravské univerzity, kde jsem se zaměřovala především na historickou literaturu popisující tehdejší sociální politiku. Výsledkem mé diplomové práce je předložení komplexního rozboru aktivit Organizace sociálních pracovnic, která vznikla v roce 1922.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is devoted to the topic Analysis of activities of the Organization of social workers. The aim of the work is to analyze the activities of the Organization of Social Workers from 1922 to 1937 on territory of the Czechoslovak Republic and thus points out the benefit to the current practice of social work and the enrichment of professional discourse. Historical research was used for the research methodology, where content analysis was utilized as its method. Information has been drawn from primary and secondary literature. The archival material stored in the Archives of the National Museum in Prague and the Archives of the Society of Social Workers were used as primary sources. These were mainly annual reports, preserved magazines, photographs and memories. Secondary literature was mainly used from the university library of the University of Ostrava, where I focused mostly on historical literature describing the social policy of the time. The result of my diploma thesis is the presentation of a complex analysis of the activities of the Organization of Social Workers, which was established in 1922.
