Impact of the SARS-Cov-2 pandemic on health and lifestyle

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zjišťuje, jakou změnu životního stylu pandemie COVID-19 v lidech vyvolala. Cílem práce je vyhodnotit, jak se změnil životní styl v důsledku působení pandemie COVID-19 a následných vládních restrikcí. Ke sběru dat byla použita metoda dotazníkového šetření a k jejich vyhodnocení analýza slovních znaků. Dotazník obsahoval témata z oblasti pohybové aktivity, stravování, životosprávy a duševní pohody. Výsledkem šetření je určení závislosti mezi jednotlivými pohlavími, jejich věkem, vzděláním a zaměstnáním, u kterých bylo zjištěno, že mají silný vztah k provozování pohybové aktivity. Na základě dotazníku bylo zjištěno, že větší motivaci ke sportu a správnému stravování mají ženy, avšak muži mají menší průměrný tělesný index. Výsledkem této studie je i zjištění změny životního stylu, jenž měl být ovlivněn nástupem pandemie COVID-19. Tato studie však nezaznamenala výrazné změny oproti období před pandemií. Důležitým aspektem tohoto vyhodnocení je i zkoumání vlivu pohybové aktivity a zdravého životního stylu na udržitelný rozvoj regionů.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis investigates the lifestyle change that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused in people. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate how lifestyles have changed as a result of exposure to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent government restrictions. Questionnaire survey method was used to collect data and word feature analysis was used to evaluate the data. The questionnaire included topics on physical activity, diet, lifestyle and mental well-being. However as a result of the survey, the relationships between the sexes by their age, education and occupation were found to be strongly related to engaging in physical activity. We find that women have a greater motivation to participate in sports and eat well but men have a lower mean BMI. This study also results in the finding of lifestyle changes that were expected to be affected with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic but which did not bring significant changes compared to the pre-pandemic period. Another important aspect of this evaluation is the examination of the impact of physical activity and healthy lifestyles on sustainable regional development.
