Visual Identity of Town Litomyšl

Abstract:

Teoretická část diplomové práce se zabývá vizuálními identitami měst a dílčími prvky, které s touto tématikou souvisí. Blíže popisuje zadávání zakázek, jednotlivé části Corporate Identity a udržitelnost designu. Věnuje se také rozboru konkrétních vizuálních identit vybraných měst a to zejména z hlediska funkčnosti. Praktická část se zaměřuje na současný stav vizuální komunikace města Litomyšl včetně popisu jejího historického vývoje. Stěžejním obsahem práce je představení jednotlivých přístupů při redesignu vizuální identity města v rámci tvorby nových návrhů pro město Litomyšl. Práce si klade za cíl vytvořit studii redesignu vizuální identity měst rozšířenou o navazující prezentaci. Ta představí jednotlivé poznatky a výstupy z celé diplomové práce radě města Litomyšl.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with the visual identities of cities and other diverse elements partially related to this topic. It describes in more detail the various types of contracts the city works on, individual parts of Corporate Identity and the sustainability of design. This part also deals with the analysis of specific visual identities of selected cities, especially in terms of functionality. The practical side focuses on the current state of visual visual communication of the city of Litomyšl and includes a description of its historical development. The main part of the thesis explains individual visual identity redesign approaches in regards to the creation of new designs for the city of Litomyšl. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate and record the redesign process of visual identites in cities. The output including the individual findings is about to be presented to the Litomyšl City Council.
