The Resolution of Conflict Situations in the Relationship between Parent and Kindergarten Teacher

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je výzkumného charakteru a jejím předmětem je zjistit, jak učitelé mateřských škol zvládají konfliktní situace s rodiči a jaké strategie pro jejich vyřešení nejčastěji využívají. Data byla získána prostřednictvím rozhovorů s učiteli mateřských škol ze Zlínského kraje. Na základě šetření bylo zjištěno, že konfliktní situace na učitele působí negativně, ale vidí je jako příležitost něco změnit či zlepšit. Strategie, které pro jejich vyřešení nejčastěji používají jsou kompromis, ústupky a zásah třetí strany. Učitelé se vždy snaží o kompromis a k zbylým dvou strategiím se uchylují, pokud takto situace nelze vyřešit. Přičemž k ústupkům se schylují učitelé, kteří nepociťují podporu vedení.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis is of a research nature and its goal is to find out how kindergarten teachers manage conflict situations with the children's parents and what strategies they most often use to resolve them. The data was obtained through interviews with kindergarten teachers from the Zlín region. The survey found that the conflict situation has a negative effect on the teachers, but they see them as an opportunity to change or improve something. The strategies they most often use to resolve the conflicts are compromise, concessions and third party intervention. Teachers always try to compromise and resort to the other two strategies only if this cannot be achieved. The concessions are chosen by teachers who do not feel supported by their management.
