Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá ospravedlněním otroctví v dílech významných evropských filosofů. První část práce se zaměřuje na antické Řecko a Aristotelovu teorii přirozeného otroctví. Druhá část se věnuje novověkým myslitelům. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována nejednoznačnému postoji k otroctví v dílech Johna Locka. Abstract:
Presented diploma thesis deals with the justification of slavery in the works of important European philosophers. The first part focuses on ancient Greece and Aristotle's theory of natural slavery. The second part deals with modern thinkers. Special attention is paid to the ambiguous attitude towards slavery in the works of John Locke.
