Zemní plyn jako budoucí energetický zdroj Evropy?

Natural gas as a future energy source for Europe?
Abstract:
Téma uplatnění plynových elektráren v energetickém mixu bylo velkou otázkou minulého desetiletí. Zemní plyn se měl stát náhradou energie z uhlí při výrobě elektřiny. Dnes však moderní plynové elektrárny stojí a svým investorům přinášejí značné ztráty. Práce popisuje jak k této situaci došlo, jaké jsou její důsledky a jaké faktory jsou klíčové pro budoucí uplatnění těchto zdrojů.
Abstract:
Issue of gas power plants contribution to energy mix was a frequent topic of the last decade. Natural gas was supposed to replace electricity generation from coal. Today modern power plants are idling and bring serious losses to the investors. The thesis describes how this situation came to this state, what are the implications and what factors are a key to future utilization of these units.
