Effect of acoustic load to the level of simple and complex reaction time in women

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na vliv reprodukované hudby při různých úrovních hlasitosti, na reakční dobu testovaných subjektů. V teoretické části byla popsána reakční doba, a jaké faktory reakční dobu ovlivňují. V praktické části jsme se věnovali již samotnému měření testovaných osob. K výzkumu byl použit Digital Sound Level Meter AZ8922, přístroj na reprodukovanou hudbu, a systém Fitro Agility Check, který měřil rychlost reakce u jednoduché reakční doby na akustický a vizuální podnět a u složité reakční doby pouze na vizuální podnět. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, zda má reprodukovaná hudba nějaký vliv na rychlost reakce, či nikoliv. Dále zkoumáme, zda telefonní hovor a použití handsfree ovlivňuje rychlost reakce oproti vstupnímu testování. Na základě provedených měření a statistických výpočtů jsme došli k závěru, že vliv reprodukované hudby není nijak výrazný, kdežto při telefonním hovoru došlo k výraznému zhoršení reakční doby. U jednoduché reakce jsme dospěli k výsledkům, že porovnáme-li vstupní testovaní s úrovní hlasitosti 60 či 90dB, pak rozdíl není výrazný. Při porovnání vstupního testu u složité reakce a úrovně 60dB taktéž rozdíl není, avšak u úrovně 90dB došlo již k mírnému zlepšení doby reakce. Dále u porovnání vstupního testu s telefonováním či handsfree již negativní rozdíl je.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis is focused on the impact of recorded music at different volume levels, a reaction time test subjects. The theoretical part was described reaction time, which include factors that affect reaction time. In the practical part we focused on the measurement itself already tested individuals. The research was used Digital Sound Level Meter AZ8922, device for music and a system Fitro Agility Check that measured the speed of response in simple reaction time to acoustic and visual stimuli, and by complex reaction time only to visual stimuli. The aim of the study was to determine whether the recorded music have any influence on the reaction speed or not. Furthermore, we investigate whether the phone call and use handsfree affects the speed of response compared to the input testing. Based on the measurements and statistical calculations, we concluded that the impact of recorded music is not significant, but when the phone call was a significant deterioration in reaction time. For simple reactions, we came to results that if we compare the input test with a volume level of 60 or 90dB, then the difference is not significant. When comparing the test input with the complex reaction and the level of 60dB is also differential, however, at the level of 90dB was already a slight improvement of the response time. Furthermore, in comparison the entry test with phone call or handsfree already negative difference is.
