Talent management: Retention of graduates in the company

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je zjistit, jaké jsou problematické oblasti ovlivňující stabilizaci stážistů u firmy XYZ, pokud je jim učiněna nabídka trvalého zaměstnání. Jejich stabilizace má dopady na talent management ve společnosti. Teoretická část proto zkoumá problematiku stabilizace a talent managementu. Dále v teoretické části rozebíráme problematiku vlivu faktorů spokojenosti a faktorů commitmentu na stabilizaci. Tyto dvě části na sebe pak konceptuelně navazují ve výzkumu. V našem výzkumu se snažíme určit, zejména pomocí dotazníků, které z faktorů spokojenosti a commitmentu považují stážisté za problematické. Na základě identifikace těchto faktorů pak v závěru navrhujeme, na základě teorie talent managementu, zavedení několika stabilizačních opatření. To je v souladu s aplikačním cílem práce snížení míry odchodů lidí, kteří stáž absolvovali.

Abstract:

The aim of this masters thesis is to found out critical factors which are influencing retention of company interns in its internship program. Especially in case they are given an offer for permanent job. Turnover of interns is negatively infulencing company´s talent management strategy. In our theory section we are summarizing concepts of talent management and retention. We also invetigate concepts of employee satisfaction and employee commitment and their influence on retention. Emprirical section of our thesis is focused on finding factors that are considered problematic by company´s interns. On the basis of identifying these factors we are proposing interventios according to talent management concepts on retention. These interventions should improve fluctuation of the interns in the future according to practical goal of this thesis.
