Alternative Education Focusing on Dalton Plan

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá alternativním školstvím, zvláště pak daltonským plánem. Jsou zde popsány znaky clasických alternativních směrů a jak se promítly do dnešního českého školního systému. Jelikož daltonský plán je otevřený systém, podléhá změnám a trendům ve světě. Jeho inspirací se staly i jiné alternativní směry. Jedna z posledních aktivit Dalton International, mezinarodní daltonské organizace, bylo vytvoření daltonské karty. Ta se na jednotlivých školách liší podle preferovaných daltonských principů. Jednu z těchto karet, konkrétně ZŠ Chalabalova, jsem si vybrala pro svůj výzkum, v němž jsem ověřovala, jak dalece jsou aplikovány daltonské principy v pátých ročnících a co by mohlo být zlepšeno.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with alternative education, especially with Dalton plan. It summarises the main features of the classic alternative education and how they are reflected in the recent Czech school system. As Dalton plan is an open system, it is also influenced by modern trends; therefore, it also has been inspired by other alternative streams. One of the recent activities of Dalton International, an international organisation, was creating a so called Dalton card, which is uniquely adapted for each school depending on the Dalton preferences of the school. I have chosen the Dalton card of ZŠ Chalabalova for my research to analyse how far the Dalton principles are applied in the fifth grade, leading to possible suggestions for improvement.
