Library 2.0 - application of certain technologies in Children's Department of Public Libraries

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem Library 2.0 v souvislosti s dětskými uživateli veřejných knihoven. Teoretická část je zaměřena na vývoj dětí, porovnává děti před dvaceti lety se současnými. Soustředí se na působení hlavních subjektů – rodiny, školy a knihovny – při formování vztahu dětí ke čtenářství. Zmíněn je internet – pomocník i konkurent veřejných knihoven. Praktická část obsahuje návrh konkrétních technologií konceptu Web 2.0, jejichž užívání by mohlo vést ke zvýšení čtenářské, informační a počítačové gramotnosti dětí, ale také je učit vzájemně si pomáhat. Je popsán navrhovaný čtenářský deník, který by děti mohly tvořit společně. Představeny jsou dvě spolupracující veřejné knihovny. Součástí práce je také výzkum, jehož výsledky vypovídají o skutečné realitě v oblasti výuky literatury v náhodně vybraných základních školách včetně pohledu na čtenářské deníky a názorů na navrhovaný čtenářský deník

Abstract:

This degree work deals with a topic of Library 2.0 in context of children using public libraries. The theoretical part is focused on children’s genesis. It compares children twenty years ago with nowadays children. It concerns on incidence of main subjects - parent´s school and library - and their influence when the children´s affinity to reading is being formed. There is also mentioned the Internet – the helper and competitor of public libraries. The practical part contains a suggestion of real technologies Web 2.0 using of which could lead to improvement of children´s fact finding and computer literacy and reading ability. It can also teach them how to help each other. There is also described a reader´s diary, which they could make together. I introduce two cooperating public libraries. Part of the thesis is a research, results of which deal with reality on the field of teaching literature in random selected basic schools including the view of reader´s diaries and opinions about suggested reader´s diary.
