Analysis of employee turnover and job satisfaction in a fast-food restaurant

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou fluktuace a spokojenosti zaměstnanců v restauraci rychlého občerstvení. Vyšší míra fluktuace může být překážkou v dlouhodobém konzistentním rozvoji, a proto je nutné ji postupně analyzovat. Cílem práce je vyhodnotit míru fluktuace, identifikovat hlavní důvody odchodů z organizace, zjistit míru pracovní spokojenosti a na závěr navrhnout možná doporučení pro snížení fluktuace a zvýšení pracovní spokojenosti. V bakalářské práci budou vysvětleny všechny důležité pojmy související s problematikou fluktuace a pracovní spokojenosti. V rámci praktické části bude z interních dat společnosti zjištěna míra fluktuace, s níž se firma potýká a na základě kvantitativního výzkumu budou odhaleny její hlavní příčiny. Spolu s analýzou příčin fluktuace bude analyzována také pracovní spokojenost stávajících zaměstnanců. Na závěr práce jsou navržena řešení, která by mohla jednak snížit fluktuaci a zároveň zvýšit pracovní spokojenost a angažovanost zaměstnanců.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of turnover and employee satisfaction in a fast-food restaurant. Higher fluctuations can be an obstacle to long-term consistent development and therefore need to be analyzed on a regular basis. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the rate of turnover, identify the main reasons for leaving the organization, find out the level of job satisfaction and finally suggest possible recommendations for reducing turnover and increasing job satisfaction. The bachelor thesis will explain all important concepts related to the issue of turnover and job satisfaction. In the practical part, the internal data of the company will determine the degree of fluctuation that the company is facing and based on quantitative research, its main causes will be revealed. Along with the analysis of the causes of turnover, the job satisfaction of existing employees will also be analyzed. At the end of the work, solutions are proposed that could both reduce turnover and increase job satisfaction and engagement of employees.
