Abstract:

The thesis deals with the communist movement in Pardubice region in the during the First Czechoslovak Republic. The research on the regional communist movement is set in a wider context, where the first part of this thesis focuses on the development of the ultra-left and communist movement throughout the history in a broad geographical perspective. The second part of this work is about communist movement in Czech lands in the period under the study, with a time span to the 19th century or to the era shortly after the end of the First Czechoslovak Republic. The most important and extensive part of this thesis consists of research on the origin and development of the Pardubice communist movement and its connections with the headquarters of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia. The communist programme and its significant transformations depending on the directives of the party leadership have not been left out of interest. Finally, attention is paid to the key figures of the local communist movement. This resulted in their special portraits, which are included in a separate chapter. The work is further illustrated by a biography of one of the local communist leaders, about whom it was possible to collect a large amount of previously unpublished information.

Abstract:

Disertační práce se zabývá komunistickým hnutím na Pardubicku v období první Československé republiky. Výzkum regionálního komunistického hnutí je zasazen do širších souvislostí, přičemž první oddíl práce je zaměřen na vývoj krajně levicového a komunistického hnutí v průběhu dějin v širší geografické perspektivě. Druhá část je věnována komunistickému hnutí v českých zemích ve sledovaném období s časovým přesahem do devatenáctého století, respektive do období krátce po skončení existence první Československé republiky. Stěžejní a nejrozsáhlejší část práce je tvořena výzkumem vzniku a vývoje pardubického komunistického hnutí a jeho vazeb na ústředí Komunistické strany Československa. Stranou zájmu nezůstal ani komunistický program a jeho výrazné proměny v závislosti na direktivách stranického vedení. V neposlední řadě je pozornost věnována ústředním postavám místního komunistického hnutí, díky čemuž vznikly jejich medailony zařazené do samostatné kapitoly. Práce je doplněna portrétem jednoho z místních komunistických představitelů, o kterém se podařilo shromáždit větší množství dosud nepublikovaných informací.
