The issue of online teaching for children from socially disadvantaged and culturally different backgrounds from the perspective of teachers

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce s názvem Problematika online vyučování dětí ze sociálně znevýhodněného a kulturně odlišného prostředí z pohledu vyučujících je v daném rozsahu přiblížit pohled vyučujících na téma online výuky u dětí ze sociálně odlišného prostředí a pokusit se blíže pochopit jejich subjektivní prožívání a zážitky s ním spojené. Práce si dále klade za cíl popsat bariéry, které sociální znevýhodnění do online výuky přináší a zprostředkovat na téma sociální odlišnosti v kontextu online výuky komplexní a celistvý pohled očima profesionálů, kteří se zejména v době pandemie COVID19 museli s fenoménem online výuky vypořádávat. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí – teoretické a empirické. Teoretická část obsahuje dvě základní kapitoly, ve kterých je na základě studia odborné literatury vymezen a shrnut teoretický rámec sociálního znevýhodnění ve vzdělávání, který je dále zasazen do konceptu e-learning. Empirická část potom zahrnuje třetí kapitolu, která obsahuje kvalitativní výzkumné šetření, ve kterém se prostřednictvím detailní analýzy polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se sedmi pedagogy, pracujícími na základní škole, snažím popsat, jaké aspekty jednotliví pracovníci subjektivně hodnotí jako problematické při online formě výuky dětí ze sociálně odlišného prostředí, zjistit, jaké volí způsoby a strategie pro zvládání takových obtížných situací a zjistit, jakým způsobem by mohli být více podpořeni a co by jim práci s žáky ze sociálně a kulturně odlišného prostředí v online formě vyučování mohlo usnadnit do budoucna.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor's thesis, entitled The problem of online teaching of children from socially disadvantaged and culturally different environments from the perspective of teachers, is to bring closer the view of teachers on the topic of online teaching for children from socially different environments and to try to better understand their subjective experience and experiences associated with it. The work also aims to describe the barriers that social disadvantage brings to online education and to convey a comprehensive and holistic view of the topic of social differences in the context of online education through the eyes of professionals who, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, had to deal with the phenomenon of online education. The work is divided into two parts – theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part contains two basic chapters in which, based on the study of professional literature, the theoretical framework of social disadvantage in education is defined and summarized, which is further embedded in the concept of e-learning. The empirical part then includes the third chapter, which contains a qualitative research investigation, in which, through a detailed analysis of semi-structured interviews with seven pedagogues working at a primary school, I try to describe what aspects individual workers subjectively evaluate as problematic in the online form of teaching children from a socially different environment , find out what methods and strategies they choose for managing such difficult situations and find out how they could be more supported and what could make it easier for them to work with pupils from socially disadvantaged and culturally different environments in online form in the future.
