Human Resources Management in Hospitality Industry

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with human resource management in Aquapalace Hotel. The aim of the thesis is the analyses of particular processes e.g. analyses of the working position, recruitment, selection and hiring of the staff, orientation and adaptation and motivation of personnel and comparison of their satisfaction with these processes. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with basic terms related to human resource management. Since the particular processes are very complex, this part is focused on the main procedures of the processes for the selected hotel. The analytical part deals with the particular analyses and description of the methods used in the research. The output of the thesis is the comparison of the interview with HR manager with the results of the personnel survey outputs. Eventually the thesis offers some solutions based on results of the analyses. The results are transformed into an evaluation that shows if the error comes from these processes and if it can relate to the fluctuation of the staff.

Abstract:

Táto diplomová práca sa zaoberá riadením ľudských zdrojov v hoteli Aqualpalace. Cieľom tejto práce je analýza vybraných procesov, ktorými sú analýza pracovného miesta, získavanie zamestnancov, výber a prijatie, orientácia a adaptácia a motivácia zamestnancov a porovnanie spokojnosti zamestnancov s týmito procesmi. Teoretická časť zaoberá základnými pojmami, ktoré sa týkajú riadenia ľudských zdrojov. Vzhľadom k tomu, ţe vybrané procesy sú veľmi obsiahle, sústredí sa táto časť na hlavné postupy týchto procesov pre daný hotel. Analytická časť sa zaoberá uţ konkrétnou analýzou a popisom metód, ktoré boli pre výskum pouţité. Výstupom je porovnanie rozhovoru s personálnou manaţérkou s výsledkami dotazníkového šetrenia zamestnancov. V závere práce sú navrhnuté riešenia vytvorená na základe výsledkov získaných z analýzy. Z výsledkov je zhodnotené, či chyba nastáva v týchto procesoch a môţe sa to týkať fluktuácie zamestnancov.
