Smart Cities aneb chytrá města je poměrně nový koncept, který je přímo závislý na rapidním vývoji informačních technologií v poslední době a vytváří tak neomezené možnosti. Smart Cities by se měly stát efektivnější, šetrnější k životnímu prostředí a celkově místem, kde se obyvatelům lépe žije a kde je město schopno lépe reagovat na aktuální a budoucí problémy.
