Social constructions of the work with clients in spiritual emergency by social workers and psychologists

Abstract:

Práce se zaměřuje na sociální konstrukce sociálních pracovníků a psychologů v souvislosti s jejich zkušenostmi s prací s klienty nacházejícími se v psychospirituální krizi. V teoretické části jsou popsány pojmy, které mohou s tématem souviset, koncept psychospirituální krize, spouštěcí mechanismy a diferenciální diagnostika. Dále je popsán sociální konstrukcionismus, pojmy jako kategorizace, stereotypizace a idealizace. Výzkum je založený na kvalitativní strategii, realizovaný v podobě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se 4 sociálními pracovníky a 4 psychology z různých zařízení. Získaná data jsou kódována na základě částečného a axiálního kódování. Výsledkem práce je zjištění, že konstrukce pracovníků obou pomáhajících profesí se v mnohém shodují i liší. Shodují se mj. na současném negativním přínosu psychiatrie a ve snaze tento koncept oficiálně uznat. Údaje identifikované od obou profesí se liší v zájmu sociálních pracovníků o praktickou intervenci a ve větším důrazu psychologů na duchovní stránku. V závěru práce autorka podrobněji odpovídá na hlavní výzkumnou otázku a uvádí doporučení pro další výzkum a praxi.

Abstract:

This disertation is aimed on social construction of social workers and psychologists related with their experiencess with clients in spiritual emergency. In theoretical part are subscribed terms which can be related with the issue, concept of spiritual emergency, trigger mechanisms and differencial diagnosis. Then is subscribed social construkcionism, therms as categorization, stereotyping and idealization. Research is founded on qualitative strategy, realized in the form of semi-structured interviews with 4 social workers and 4 psychologists from different devices. The obtained data are coded on the basis of part and axial coding. Result of the disertation is detection that constructions of workers of both helping professions are in many parts similar and different. They are similar for example in contemporary negative benefit of psychiatry and in effort this concept accept officially. Data identified from both professions are different in diferencies of social workers in practical intervenci intervention and in greater emphasis of psychologists about spirituál part of the issue . In conclusion of the work author in more details answers on the main question of the research and states recommendations for next researches and practice.
