Methods of Work with People with Intellectual (Mental) Disabilities Using Elements of the Occupational Therapy

Abstract:

V teoretické části diplomové práce se zabývám teoretickými východisky z oblasti mentálního postižení, metodami práce, které jsou při práci s osobami s mentálním postižením využívány, a v poslední kapitole konkrétně metodami práce s prvky ergoterapie. V praktické části se zaměřuji na využívání prvků ergoterapie při práci s osobami s mentálním postižením a možnostmi jejich dalšího rozšíření v Naději o. s. ve Zlíně, přičemž hlavním výzkumným cílem je zjistit, jak zaměstnanci zmíněného zařízení vnímají možnost využití prvků ergoterapie při práci s osobami s mentálním postižením.

Abstract:

In a theoretical part of the diploma thesis I deal with theoretical themes concerning intellectual (mental) disabilities, work methods which are used at work with people with intellectual disabilities and work methods with elements of the occupational therapy. In a practical part I am concerned with the use of elements of the occupational therapy at work with people with intellectual disabilities and possibilities of their extension in Naděje o. s. in Zlín. The main research task is based on detection (survey) how employees of Naděje in Zlín feel the use of elements of the occupational therapy at work with people with intellectual disabilities.
