Cílem práce je pojednat o motivech dystopie, které se objevují v románech Možnost ostrova a Podvolení Michela Houellebecqa a zároveň zařadit autora a jeho společenskou kritiku do literárně-sociologického kontextu. The aim of this thesis is to deal with the motives of dystopia, that appear in novels The Possibility of an Island and Submission by Michel Houellebecq and to put the author and his social critique in literary and social context.
