The primary goal of this work is to describe the socio-political position of the Oriental Orthodox Churches in Syria, especially in the city of Aleppo. The thesis focuses on two selected Oriental Churches that have been present in Aleppo: the Armenian Apostolic Church and the Syrian Orthodox Church. Abstract:
Cieľom práce je priblížiť históriu a súčasnú situáciu vybraných orientálnych pravoslávnych cirkví v Sýrii, so zameraním sa na mesto Aleppo. Práca sa zaoberá socio-politickou pozíciou príslušníkov Arménskej apoštolskej a Sýrskej pravoslávnej cirkvi voči vládnucim systémom v krajine, ako aj v zmienenom meste. Práca je časovo ohraničená od obdobia vlády Osmanov až po súčasnosť.
