Use of The Game Theory in Economy Practices.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce řeší problematiku využití teorie her v ekonomické praxi. Obsahuje stručný přehled historie teorie her a definice základních pojmů. Stěžejní principy, zejména dominance, Nashova rovnováha a smíšené strategie, jsou ilustrovány na detailně rozebraných vzorových příkladech blízkých realitě. Nechybí soupis a analýza jednotlivých možností aplikace teorie her v ekonomice. Pro účely praktické části byla zvolena varianta aplikace teorie her na aukci. Je zpracována problematika online aukčních síní a aukcí obecně. Teorie her je potom aplikována na aukci, která probíhá na portále aukro.cz. Aukce je zapsána jako hra v normální formě, kde hráči jsou v roli potenciálních kupujících, a nechybí rozbor všech kombinací herních strategií. Následuje zápis průběhu aukce, vyčíslení výplat hráčů a vyhodnocení výsledků. Ilustrovaný postup může být efektivně využit při hraní online aukcí. Práce může být dále rozšířena o aplikaci teorie her při konstruování online aukcí, tedy z pohledu prodejce.

Abstract:

Barchelor thesis addresses the issue of the use of game theory in economy practices. It includes a brief look into the history of game theory and definitions of basic concepts. The fundamental principles, namely dominance, Nash equilibrium and mixed strategies are illustrated with detailed examples close to reality. There is also an inventory and analysis of the various possibilities of application of game theory in economics. For the purposes of the practical part the application of game theory to auction has been chosen. The issue of auction houses and auction in general is handled. Game theory is then applied to the auction, which takes place at the portal aukro.cz. The auction is processed as a game in normal form, where players are in the role of potential buyers, and there is also an analysis of all the game strategy combinations. The following is the record of the auction process, player payments quantification and the evaluation of the results. Illustrated procedure can be effectively used while playing online auctions. This barchelor thesis can be further enhanced by the application of game theory in designing online auctions from the perspective of the seller.
