This Master's thesis is focused on Heinrich Böll and the final period of his literary career. Two novels are analyzed in this paper, "Fürsorglich Belagerung" and "Frauen vor Flußlandschaft", in which the author responds to poignant social and political problems of the Federal Republic of Germany in the seventies and eighties of the twentieth century. Magisterská diplomová práca sa venuje osobnosti Heinricha Bölla a záverečnej perióde jeho literárnej tvorby. V práci sú analyzované a porovnané dva romány, „Fürsorgliche Belagerung“ a „Frauen vor Flußlandschaft“, v ktorých autor reaguje na pálčivé spoločenské a politické problémy Nemeckej spolkovej republiky v sedemdesiatych a osemdesiatych rokoch dvadsiateho storočia.
