Food Security at the Municipal Level

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje tématu plýtvání potravinami, které je úzce spojeno s potravinovou bezpečností. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na vytvoření rešerše zdrojů o potravinové bezpečnosti a problematice plýtvání potravinami a vymezení faktorů ovlivňující míru jejich plýtvání. V praktické části práce je pomocí metody dotazování zkoumán současný stav. Je analyzována míra plýtvání potravinami a nakládání s potravinovým odpadem u obchodních řetězců a konečných spotřebitelů. Na závěr jsou navrhnuta vhodná opatření, která mají za úkol minimalizovat míru plýtvání potravinami v okrese Zlín.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of food waste which is closely connected with food security. The theoretical part of the work is focused on the creation of a search for resources on food security and the issue of food waste and the definition of factors influencing the degree of food waste. The current state is examined using the method of questioning in the practical part of the work. The degree of food waste and food waste management by retail chains and final consumers is analyzed. At the end suitable measures are proposed to minimize the level of food waste in the district of Zlín.
