Public's view of organ transplantation

Abstract:

Práce je zaměřena na etické otázky vyplývající z transplantací orgánů. Je rozdělena na literární rešerši a výzkum, který probíhal prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření. Teoretická část má 4 rozsáhlejší kapitoly, rozdělené na několik podkapitol. První kapitola se zabývá historií transplantologie. Kapitola 2 se týká obecné terminologie transplantologie. Kapitola 3 se zabývá tzv. smrtí mozku, vztahem dárce a příjemce. Také jsou zde shrnuty základní informace o transplantačních centrech v České republice. Poslední kapitola teoretické části se týká specifikace transplantací vybraných orgánů. Jedna z podkapitol je zde věnována i xenotransplantacím, které jsou velmi diskutovaným tématem. Výzkum byl prováděn prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření, které bylo uskutečněno v Praze a v Ostravě. Dotazníky byly vypracovány pro laickou veřejnost všech věkových kategorií od 18 let. Dotazníkové šetření probíhalo od 15. 1. 2011 do 31. 3. 2011. Bylo osloveno celkem 200 respondentů, šetření se pak zúčastnilo 108.

Abstract:

The work focuses on ethical issues arising from organ transplants. It is divided into a literature search and research that was conducted through a questionnaire survey. The theoretical part has four extensive chapters, divided into several sections. The first chapter deals with the history of transplantology. Chapter 2 concerns the terminology transplantology. Chapter 3 deals with the so-called brain death, donor and recipient are summarized basic information about the transplant center in the Czech Republic. The last chapter of this part concerns the specification of selected organs transplantation. One of the subchapters is also devoted to xenotransplantacím that are frequently discussed topic. The research was conducted through a questionnaire survey which was undertaken in Prague and Ostrava. The questionnaire was developed for the general public of all ages from 18 years of age. The questionnaire survey conducted from January 15 2011 to March 31 2011th It addressed a total of 200 respondents but only 108 were participate in the investigation.
