The identification of foreign direct investment´s determinants in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na identifikaci faktorů ovlivňujících příliv přímých zahraničních investic do České republiky. V první části diplomové práce je vymezena oblast přímých zahraničních investic včetně jejich možných pozitivních a negativních dopadů na ekonomiku hostitelské země. Součástí teoretického vymezení je rešerše odborné literatury a empirických studií zabývajících se determinanty přílivu přímých zahraničních investic do hostitelské ekonomiky. Následně práce hodnotí stav přímých zahraničních investic v České republice do roku 2015 a s využitím metody vícenásobné regresní analýzy jsou identifikovány vlivy konkrétních faktorů na příliv zahraničních investic do České republiky.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the identification of factors influencing foreign direct investment into the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis defines area of foreign direct investment including its possible positive and negative impacts on the host country economy. Part of the theoretical definition is research of literature and empirical studies dealing with the determinants of foreign direct investments inflow into the host economy. Subsequently, the state of foreign direct investment in the Czech Republic by 2015 is evaluated and the effect of specific factors on foreign direct investments inflow into the Czech Republic are identified using multiple regression analysis method.
