Role přílivu zahraničního kapitálu v ekonomice Ghany

Abstract:

Tato výzkumná studie pečlivě zkoumá klíčovou roli přílivu zahraničního kapitálu; zejména přímých zahraničních investic, zahraniční pomoci a zahraničních úhrad na životní úroveň v Ghaně. Studie použila roční časovou řadu údajů o Ghaně z let 1993-2018 a metodu nejmenších čtverců k analýze empirických dat, která byla shromážděna v průběhu sledovaných období. Zdroje dat této výzkumné studie pochází z databáze ukazatelů rozvoje Světové banky, závislou proměnnou této studie je životní úroveň, která byla použita pro změření klíčové hospodářské výkonnosti a nezávislými proměnnými jsou přímé zahraniční investice, zahraniční pomoc a zahraniční úhrady. Výsledky průzkumu uvádějí, že pouze přímé zahraniční investice a zahraniční úhrady mají pozitivní a významný vliv na hospodářskou výkonnost měřenou z hlediska životní úrovně; zatímco zahraniční pomoc nemá významný nebo důležitý dopad na životní úroveň v zemi jako celku

Abstract:

The research study thoroughly investigates the pivotal role of foreign capital inflow; particularly, the foreign direct investment, foreign aid and foreign remittance on the standard of living in Ghana. The study employed an annual time series data of Ghana from 1993 to 2018 and Ordinary Least Square Method to analyses the empirical data collected within the observation periods. The data sources for the research work comes from the World Bank’s Development Indicators database and the dependent variables for the study is the standard of living which is used to measure a key economic performance and the independent variables are foreign direct investment, foreign aid and foreign remittance. The research findings report that only the foreign direct investment and the foreign remittance have positive and significant effects on the economic performance measured in terms of standard of living; while the foreign aid has no significant or relevant impact on the standard of living in country as whole.
