Generating Petri Nets for Reliability Analysis of Smart Grids From UML Diagrams

Abstract:

Moderní technologie a infrastruktury jsou stále komplexnější a vyvstala potřeba předvídat a hodnotit jejich spolehlivost. Za tímto účelem se typicky vytvoří zjednodušený model, který je následně podroben analýze pro získání nových informací o původním systému. Tato diplomová práce popisuje účel, návrh, implementaci, použití a ověření multiplatformní počítačové aplikace, která dovoluje uživatelům modelovat systémy pomocí diagramu nasazení a sekvenčního diagramu z rodiny UML se speciálními anotacemi. Taková reprezentace systému je transformována na model stochastické Petriho sítě a následně je vygenerován kód podobný jazyku C, který slouží jako vstup pro numerickou analýzu nebo simulaci v nástroji SPNP.

Abstract:

Modern technologies and infrastructures are becoming increasingly complex and the need for predicting and assessing their reliability arose. In most cases a simplified model of the examined system is created and analysed to obtain new information. This thesis documents the purpose, design, implementation, usage and verification of a multi-platform desktop application which provides its users with the ability to model systems by using specially annotated sequence and deployment UML diagrams. This system representation is then transformed into a stochastic reward net model and finally into a C-like code that can be solved by the SPNP tool either by simulation or numerical analysis.
