The effect of building insulation on the energy consumption of a heating system with a heat pump

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá možností řešení snížení potřeby dodané energie objektu za pomoci použití tepelně izolačních materiálů. Dále se práce zabývá výpočtem energetických ztrát objektu a tepelných ztrát prostupem obálkou budovy. V práci jsou uvedeny různé tepelněizolační materiály a jsou představeny oblasti jejich použití. Definuje tepelná čerpadla a je uveden výpočet pro zjištění potřebného tepelného výkonu zdroje s ohledem na energetické ztráty objektu. S ohledem na výměnu zdroje, porovnává otopná tělesa a uvádí výpočet tepelného výkonu teplosměnných ploch. Je představen výpočet pro zjištění roční spotřeby tepla. Opatření jsou navržena na konkrétní objekt a jeho stávající tepelněizolační parametry. Z tohoto důvodu jsou nejprve vypočteny energetické ztráty stávajícího objektu i s množstvím dodané roční energie. Jsou představeny opatření pro snížení potřebné energie a výpočty pro ověření účinnosti opatření. Ze získaných informací po provedení úsporných opatření je provedena ekonomická analýza mapující snížení nákladů na provoz objektu a ukazující dobu návratnosti daných opatření. Součástí analýzy je i environmentální hodnocení navržených opatření a emisní dopad budovy na její okolí.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the possibility of solving the reduction of the necessary supplied energy of the building with the help of using thermal insulation materials. The work deals with a calculation of the building's energy and heat losses through the building envelope. In the thesis, various thermal insulation materials are presented as well as the areas of their use. It explains heat pumps and provides a calculation to determine the required heat output of the source with regard to the energy losses of the building. With regard to the replacement of the source, it compares heating elements and gives the calculation of the thermal performance of the heat exchange surfaces. A calculation for determining the annual heat consumption is presented. The measures are designed for a specific object and its existing thermal insulation parameters. For this reason, the energy losses of the existing building are first calculated, even with the amount of supplied annual energy. Measures to reduce the required energy and calculations to verify the effectiveness of the measures are presented. From the information obtained after the implementation of cost-saving measures, an economic analysis is made, mapping the reduction in the costs of operating the facility and showing the payback period of the given measures. The analysis also includes an environmental assessment of the proposed measures and the emission impact of the building on its surroundings.
