Československo se rozdělilo k 31. 12. 1992. Od této doby uplynulo již více než 16 let, ale hledání příčin rozchodu tak blízkých národů je stále aktuální. Tato práce se tedy tyto příčiny snaží nalézt a zanalyzovat. Jako teoretické východisko slouží teorie federalismu a některých dalších modelů státoprávního uspořádání. Czechoslovakia was splited on 31 December 1992 and two autonomic states were created up by this act. Althought it was more then 16 years ago the Reasons of the Split of Czechoslovakia are still searched. The reasons are compared according to the period of Federation of Czechoslovakia and analysed in this work.
