Vedoucí diplomové práce PhDr. Mgr. Ilona Fialová, Ph.D. Diplomová práce „Lidé s postižením ve světle eugenických myšlenek“ se zabývá postoji současných vysokoškolských studentů k lidem s postižením vzhledem k současným možnostem prenatální diagnostiky, interrupcím, euthanasii, genovému inženýrství či sterilizacím jedinců s mentálním postižením. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. První tři kapitoly tvoří teoretická část a jsou zpracovány na základě odborné literatury. První kapitola je zaměřena na eugeniku, její definici, historii a současnost. Jsou zde zmíněna i lidská práva. Druhá kapitola pojednává o prenatální diagnostice, obsahuje problematiku vrozených vad, základní vyšetření, lékařskou etiku i prevenci vrozených vad. Třetí kapitola je zaměřena na rodinu jedince s postižením, jako základní emocionální i sociální faktor. Nechybí v ní ani podkapitola o kvalitě života. Čtvrtou kapitolu tvoří praktická část – kvantitativní výzkum. Kapitola obsahuje hlavní cíl, dílčí cíle, hypotézy a metodologii výzkumu, charakterizuje výzkumný soubor apod. Nejdůležitější části tvoří interpretace výsledků dotazníkového šetření a analýza výsledků výzkumného šetření vzhledem ke stanoveným hypotézám a závěry.

Ilona Fialová, Ph.D. The Diploma's thesis “People with disabilities in light of eugenic ideas,” deals with the current position of university students towards people with disabilities due to the current possibilities of prenatal diagnosis, abortion, euthanasia, genetic engineering or sterilization of individuals with intellectual disabilities. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first three chapters constitute the theoretical part and are processed on the basis of literature. The first chapter deals with eugenics, its definition, history and present. There are also mentioned the human rights. The second chapter talk about prenatal diagnostics, includes the issue of congenital defects, basic clinical examination, medical ethics and prevention of congenital defects. The third chapter focuses on the family of individuals with disabilities, as the basic emotional and social factors. It also features a subhead about quality of life. The fourth chapter consists of the practical section – quantitative research. This chapter sets out the main goal, intermediate objectives, hypotheses and research methodology, characterized by research data, etc. The most important part consists of interpretation of survey results and analysis of the results of the research due to the established hypotheses and conclusions.
