Strategie společenské odpovědnosti/udržitelného podnikání jako konkurenční výhoda

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je zhodnocení úrovně reportingu o udržitelném podnikání tří nejvý-znamnějších mobilních operátorů v ČR z pohledu souladu se současnou a připravovanou legisla-tivou (ESG reporting podle Směrnice o podávání zpráv o udržitelnosti podniků z června 2022 - CSRD). Metodicky se práce opírá o komparativní analýzu podle specifikovaných kritérií. V teore-tické části byly analyzovány přístupy k reportingu, současné a připravované legislativní normy v této oblasti a příklady dobré praxe lídrů na tomto trhu. Na základě této analýzy byla stanovena kritéria pro komparaci a způsob jejich hodnocení. V aplikační části byla provedena GAP analýza, identifikovány nedostatky a formulována doporučení pro zlepšení. Nejvýznamnějším přínosem diplomové práce je specifikace oblastí reportingu, které je třeba dopracovat či zlepšit. V teoretické části byly identifikovány a zhodnoceny jednotlivé přístupy ke společenské od-povědnosti jednotlivých významných autorů a příklady dobré praxe od konzultačních firem. V aplikační části byla stanovena kritéria a vypracována komparativní analýza, jejíž součástí byla i GAP analýza, o kterou se opírají závěry práce. Byla hodnocena především úroveň reportingu, ale i strategie udržitelnosti, která je jeho součástí. Jako lídr na trhu ve zkoumané oblasti byla vyhodnocena společnost O2, které jako jediná ze tří zkoumaných společností dodržuje mezinárodní standardy. Díky tomuto faktu je společnost O2 nejlépe připravena na novou legislativu EU. Společnost Vodafone přistupuje k udržitelnosti odpovědně, ale nereportuje dle mezinárodních standardů, což společnosti může ztížit plnění nové legislativy EU. Společnost T-Mobile bude muset, pro soulad s novou legislativou, změnit svůj přístup k udržitelnosti vzhledem k tomu, že nedodržuje většinu kritérií, ať mezinárodních standardů, příkladů dobré praxe či doporučení.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the level of sustainability reporting of the three most im-portant mobile operators in the Czech Republic in terms of compliance with current and upcom-ing legislation (ESG reporting according to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive of June 2022 - CSRD). Methodologically, the work is based on a comparative analysis according to specified criteria. In the theoretical part, approaches to reporting, current and upcoming legisla-tive standards in this area and best practices of market leaders were analysed. On the basis of this analysis, the criteria for comparison and the way of their evaluation were determined. In the application part, a GAP analysis was performed, gaps were identified and recommendations for improvement were formulated. The most important contribution of the diploma thesis is the specification of areas of reporting that need to be further developed or improved. In the theoretical part, the different approaches to social accountability of each major author and best practices from consulting firms were identified and evaluated. In the application part, criteria were set and a comparative analysis was developed, which included a GAP analysis, which underpinned the conclusions of the thesis. In particular, the level of reporting was evalu-ated, but also the sustainability strategy that is part of it. O2 was evaluated as the market leader in the studied area, being the only one of the three companies that complies with international standards. This fact means that O2 is the most pre-pared for the new EU legislation. Vodafone has a responsible approach to sustainability but does not report according to international standards, which may make it difficult for the compa-ny to comply with the new EU legislation. T-Mobile will have to change its approach to sustaina-bility to comply with the new legislation, given that it does not comply with most of the criteria, whether international standards, best practices or recommendations.
