The impact of communication on the work performance of construction company employees.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o vlivu komunikace na pracovní výkon zaměstnanců ve stavební společnosti. Cílem je zanalyzovat stávající formu komunikace, její proces a vliv na pracovní výkon zaměstnanců v konkrétní společnosti. Teoretická část se věnuje základním pojmům této problematiky, a to významu komunikace a jejímu procesu, formám a kanálům komunikace, bariérám a zásadám efektivní komunikace. Výzkum je proveden prostřednictvím kvalitativního a kvantitativního šetření. Kvalitativní část výzkumu se věnuje skupinové diskuzi, na jejímž základě je provedena textová analýza. Kvantitativní výzkum pomocí dotazníkového šetření je zaměřen na méně početnou skupinu pracovníků, přesto se jejich názor stal přínosným v rámci celého výzkumu. Na základě výsledků z výzkumu jsou navržena doporučení vedoucí k zefektivnění komunikace v organizaci. To představuje hlavním přínos práce.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the influence of communication on the work performance of employees in a construction company. The aim is to analyse the current form of communication, its process and its impact on the performance of employees in a particular company. The theoretical part is devoted to the basic concepts of this issue, namely the meaning of communication and its process, forms and channels of communication, barriers and principles of effective communication. The research is conducted through qualitative and quantitative investigation. The qualitative part of the research is devoted to group discussion and semi-structured interviews, based on which textual analysis is conducted. The quantitative research through questionnaire survey focuses on a smaller group of workers, yet their opinion became useful during the research. Based on the research findings, recommendations are proposed to lead to more effective communication in the organization. This represents the main contribution of the thesis.
