Warnings at The Revolt of the Masses by José Ortega y Gasset

Abstract:

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is looking for warnings in the work called The Revolt of the Masses, written by significant Spanish philosopher José Ortega y Gasset. The theoretical part is divided into two sections. The thesis deal with the period in which the author lived, especially I describe events on the European and Spanish territory in the first chapter. Besides I characterize literary movements named Generation 98 and 14 into which is author usually classified. The second chapter includes author?s life, his political activities and the uniqueness of his thinking. In the practical part is analysed the work itself and there is introduced the main theme. The following chapters individually describe the substance of the warnings, which are expressed through the work.

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je hledání varování v díle Vzpoura davů od významného španělského filozofa Josého Ortegy y Gasseta. Teoretická část je rozdělena do dvou kapitol. V první kapitole se zabývám obdobím, ve kterém autor žil a popisuji tak zejména dění na evropské a španělské půdě. Dále charakterizuji literární hnutí: Generace 98 a 14, do kterých bývá autor obvykle zařazován. Druhá kapitola zahrnuje život, politické působení a popis jedinečného myšlení Josého Ortegy y Gasseta. V praktické části je rozebráno samotné dílo a představeno jeho hlavní téma. Následující kapitoly jednotlivě popisují zejména podstatu varování, která jsou nám prostřednictvím knihy sdělována.
