Inclusion of the foreign pupils in the context of elementary reading and writing teaching at primary school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou inkluze žáků-cizinců na 1. stupni základních škol v kontextu výuky elementárního čtení a psaní u žáků-cizinců. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda a za jakých podmínek lze začlenit žáky-cizince do běžných tříd, a s využitím kterých metod a forem výuky je učitelé učí číst a psát. Diplomová práce je rozdělena na dvě hlavní části. Teoretická část obsahuje pojmy a odborná východiska, která se zaměřují na cizince a národnostní menšiny v ČR, inkluzivní vzdělávání a výuku elementárního čtení a psaní u žáků-cizinců. Praktická část popisuje a vyhodnocuje kvantitativní výzkum, který přináší poznatky o vzdělávání žáků-cizinců na brněnských základních školách. Poskytuje přehled cizích národností, se kterými se učitelé setkávají. Zjišťuje, jakým způsobem probíhá inkluze žáků-cizinců, jak se učí český jazyk a jak je učiteli hodnocena spolupráce s rodiči žáků-cizinců.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the inclusion of pupils-foreigners at elementary schools in the context of elementary reading and writing teaching for pupils-foreigners. The aim is to determine whether and under what conditions it is possible to integrate pupils-foreigners in mainstream classes, and which methods and forms of teaching use teachers for reading and writing teaching. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part includes the terms and professional solutions, which are aimed at foreigners and ethnic minorities in the Czech republic, inclusive education and elementary reading and writing teaching for pupils-foreigners. The practical part describes and evaluates quantitative research that produces knowledge about pupils-foreigners education at elementary schools in Brno. Thesis also provides an overview of foreign nationalities, which the teachers face. It figures out how the inclusion of pupils-foreigners works and how they learn Czech language. It also finds out how teachers rate cooperation with parents of pupils-foreigners.
