Monitoring of physical activity of children at second grade of elementary school

Abstract:

Smyslem práce bylo zjistit, jestli a do jaké míry má socioekonomická situace rodiny vliv na objem a strukturu pohybové aktivity jejich dětí. Pro získání potřebných dat, byl proveden výzkum na dětech druhého stupně základní školy Ostrava-Petřkovice formou dotazníkového šetření, záznamového archu pro zjištění druhu a intenzity pohybových aktivit v průběhu měření a aplikování krokoměrů, to vše po dobu sedmi dní. Z oslovených 80 probandů souhlasilo s testováním 45 (30 dívek a 15 chlapců), ale následně bylo do výsledků zařazeno jen 37 (24 dívek a 14 chlapců) z důvodu neúplného vyplnění testové baterie. Výsledkem práce bylo zjištění, že socioekonomická situace rodiny nemá vliv na strukturu pohybové aktivity (organizovaná a neorganizovaná pohybová aktivita), ale vysoká socioekonomická situace rodiny má pozitivní vliv na objem pohybové aktivity.

Abstract:

The point of this thesis was to discover if and how much of an influence does the socio-economical situation of a family has on the capacity and structure of physical activities among their children. To obtain necessary information, the student did research secondary school children that attend the Ostrava-Petřkovice elementary school. The student carried about a questionnaire, a record sheet for comprehend the type and intensity of physical activities with the use of a pedometer that measures everything for the time of 7 days. Out of the 80 children that were approached, 45 agreed to being tested (30 girls and 15 boys), but subsequently only 37 were actually classified due to incomplete questionnaires (24 girls and 14 boys). The outcome was the discovery that the socio-economical situation of a family does not have any influence on the structure of physical activities (organized or unorganized physical activities) but the high socio-economical situation of a family does have a positive influence on the capacity of these physical activities.
