Fulfilling senior citizens needs to decease in home environment in the context of the social services

Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci se zabývám otázkou, zda dostačuje poskytování pečovatelské služby k naplnění potřeby seniorů dožít ve známém domácím prostředí domu s pečovatelskou službou nebo zda bude třeba zřízení jiného typu sociální služby. Na zřízení pobytové služby má názor zřizovatel, poskytovatel, kraj. Ve své práci sem se zaměřila na názor samotných seniorů. Vycházím z teoretických znalostí problematiky stáří a potřeb ve stáří s důrazem na potřebu dožití ve vlastním prostředí. Předkládám možnosti zabezpečení potřeb seniorů v případě jejich snížené soběstačnosti. K zjištění potřebných dat jsem využila polostrukturovaného rozhovoru se seniory, kteří žijí v domě s pečovatelskou službou a jejichž soběstačnost je snížená. Pomocí metod kvalitativní analýzy jsem zjistila, že potřeba seniorů dožít ve vlastním prostředí je pro seniory zásadní. Důležité jsou zejména vztahy s lidmi v zařízení, autonomie a soukromí, což jim bydlení v domě s pečovatelskou službou dle jejich názoru zajišťuje. Potřeby seniorů je třeba vzít v úvahu při rozhodování zřizovatele o budoucnosti sociální služby, přestože nelze opomenout ani otázky finanční, legislativní a provozní. Abstract:

This master’s thesis discourse the question whether the social care service supplement fulfills senior citizens‘ need to decease in home environment of a nursery home or founding of another social care will be needed. The founder, provider and region do take a view on the founding of residential service. In my thesis I focused on opinions of senior citizens themselves. I followed my theoretical knowledge of old age and its needs issues, the need of linger in home enviroment especially.I am showing some possible provisions of senior citizens‘ need , in case of their lowered self-sufficiency. In order to find data needed I used a half-structured interview with senior citizens living in a nursing home and whose self-sufficiency is lowered. With the help of qualitative analysis method I’ve found out that the senior citizens need for decease in home environment is essential for them. Interpesonal relations, autonomy and privacy are especially important, and that all , due to their opinion, is established in a nursing home.The senior citizens‘ needs must be taken in account when deciding about the future of social careeven though neither the financial, nor legislative, nor functional question must be neglected.
