Survey Framework Applied to the Alumni Survey of the University of Economics, Prague

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou průzkumů. Cílem práce je vytvořit metodiku, která poskytne autorům průzkumů doporučení jak postupovat a jaké nástroje použít ke zpracování průzkumu a efektivní prezentaci výsledků cílové skupině příjemců informací. Dalším cílem práce je aplikovat navrženou metodiku na průzkum absolventů Vysoké školy ekonomické v Praze (dále jen VŠE) a zjistit, jaký vliv má délka studia, praxe během studia, studijní průměr a absolvování studijního výměnného pobytu v zahraničí na uplatnění absolventů na trhu práce a jejich finanční ohodnocení. První část práce je podkladem pro vytvoření metodiky a shrnuje poznatky v oblasti kvantitativního a kvalitativního výzkumu. V druhé části práce jsou poznatky převedeny do metodiky pro zpracování průzkumů. Tato metodika je následně použita pro realizaci průzkumu uplatnění absolventů VŠE, který zároveň slouží jako ukázka využití nástrojů zvolených v metodice pro zpracování dat a atraktivní prezentaci výsledků. Přínosem práce je vlastní metodika, kterou lze buď celou nebo její jednotlivé části aplikovat na zpracování průzkumů. Dalším přínosem je vlastní výzkum, interpretace nových zjištění a ověření hypotéz v oblasti kariérního uplatnění absolventů VŠE.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on survey methodology. The purpose of the thesis is to create a framework that will help authors conduct surveys and present survey results to the target group of recipients. Another goal is to apply the proposed methods to the alumni survey of the graduates of the University of Economics, Prague (hereinafter referred to as VŠE) and verify factors which have an impact on graduate’s career and salary. In the first part of the thesis was summarized knowledge in the field of quantitative and qualitative research. In the second part of the thesis is the knowledge transferred to the survey methodology framework. This framework was used for the realization of the alumni survey, which also serves as a demonstration of the used tools for conducting surveys, data processing and attractive presentation of the results. The main benefit of the thesis is own survey framework, which can be applied either whole or its parts to the realization of surveys. Additional benefits are the research, the findings and the verification of hypotheses, in the field of a career of graduates of the University of Economics, Prague.
