Female Characters in Scherhaufer's and Müller's Adaptations of Macbeth and Hamlet by Shakespeare
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of adaptation of classical pieces of drama. It focuses on the two tragedies by William Shakespeare Macbeth and Hamlet. The phenomenon of adaptation is demonstrated on the works by Peter Scherhaufer (from Goose-On-A-String-Theatre in Brno) and a famous German author Heiner Müller.
Abstract:
Předkládaná práce se zabývá problematikou adaptace klasických her Williama Shakespeara, jmenovitě jeho tragédií Macbeth a Hamlet. Tento fenomén jako nedílná součást literární historie je demonstrován na ukázkách z pera režiséra Petera Scherhaufera působícího v Divadle Husa na provázku a východoněmeckého dramatika Heinera Müllera.
