Anotácia:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem vlivu mateřského jazyka na produkci jazyka cílového a spojuje teoretický úvod s praktickým výzkumem. V teoretické části je popsán fenomén lingvistického transferu a historický přehled teorií, které se zabývají zdrojem chyb. V rámci těchto teorií je popsán postoj jednotlivých lingvistů k významu transferu v procesu osvojování cílového jazyka, včetně kritiky těchto teorií a jejich přínosu na poli transferu. Praktická část zkoumá tři syntaktické jevy, jež jsou podle Dona Sparlinga, autora příručky English or Czenglish? Jak se vyhnout čechismům v angličtině, problematické zvláště pro rodilé mluvčí češtiny. Cílem práce je dokázat, že tyto syntaktické jevy – shoda, podmiňovací způsob a genitiv – činí problémy i mluvčím jiných jazyků a jsou v zásadě intralingvní, tedy zapříčiněny specifickými rysy anglické syntaxe.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issue of the mother tongue influence on the production of the target language, and combines the theoretical background with practical research. The theoretical part describes the phenomenon of linguistic transfer and provides a historical overview of the major theories dealing with the sources of errors. These theories are discussed in relation to the views that particular scholars adopted regarding the role of transfer in the second language acquisition. The discussion includes the criticism of the theories as well as their contribution to the field of transfer. The practical part examines three syntactic phenomena which Don Sparling classifies in his English or Czenglish? Jak se vyhnout čechismům v angličtině as errors unique to Czech speakers. The aim of the thesis is to show that these syntactic phenomena – agreement, the conditional and genitive – are problematic for speakers of other languages too, and are thus intralingual in nature, i.e. caused by the specific features of the English syntax.
