The commmunication skills of children with cerebral palsy

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá komunikačními schopnostmi dětí s mozkovou obrnou a klade si za cíl je orientačně analyzovat. Práce je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První dvě kapitoly mají teoretický charakter, zaměřují se na definici mozkové obrny, její symptomy a formy, popis možných přidružených postižení; dále je popsána komunikace a narušená komunikační schopnost, vývoj řeči u dětí s mozkovou obrnou a možnosti alternativní a augmentativní komunikace. Třetí, výzkumná část, je složena ze tří případových studií, které detailně popisují samotné žáky, jejich řečové dovednosti a způsob komunikace. Byly použity metody přímého a zúčastněného pozorování, polostrukturovaný rozhovor a analýza dokumentace.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on communication skills of children with cerebral palsy and aims to analyze it approximately. The thesis is devided into three chapters. The first two chapters are theoretical, focusing on defining cerebral palsy, its symptomes and forms, describing affiliated disabilities; furthermore communication, speech impairment, speech development of children with cerebral palsy and possibilities of alternative and augmentative communication are described. The third and empirical part is composed of three case studies, which describes the pupils, their speech skills and way of communication in detail. The metods as direct and involved observation, semi-structured interview and analysis of documentation were used.
