Předkládaná diplomová práce mapuje kult Karla Marxe pěstovaný v českém sociálně demokratickém prostředí na Brněnsku v druhé polovině dlouhého 19. století. Na základě dostupných historických pramenů zkoumá obraz Marxova díla, jeho osobnosti, rituálů i předmětů spojený s jeho osobou, tak jak se objevoval mezi českoslovanskými socialisty. Presented diploma thesis maps the cult of Karl Marx cultivated in the Czech social-democratic milieu in Brno and surroundings in the second half of the long nineteenth century. Based on available sources inquires this thesis the image of Marx´s works, his personality, rituals and items connected to him, as they were presented among the Czech socialists.
