Countryside in 19th century literature

Abstract:

Široce zvolené téma bakalářské práce Venkov v literatuře 19. století bylo specifikováno na téma Obraz školy v literatuře 19. století, ve kterém se práce zabývá dvěma stěžejními díly zachycující obraz školy - Zapadlí vlastenci a Pan učitel. V teoretické části je zachycena realita života na venkově a konkrétně je zde přiblížena situace ve školství v 19. století. Hlavním záměrem analytické části práce je zaměření se na způsob zobrazení podoby školy v daných dílech. V závěrečné části práce je provedeno srovnání jednotlivých způsobů zachycení obrazu školy, které dokládá proměnu literatury v 19. století, a dochází zde ke shrnutí poznatků, ke kterým jsem během studia dané problematiky a psaní bakalářské práce dospěla.

Abstract:

The broad topic of the thesis Rural life in the literature of the 19th century was narrowed to the topic The School in the Literature of the 19th Century. In this regard, the thesis is based on two key literary works depicting the situation at school in the 19th century - Zapadlí vlastenci and Pan učitel. The theoretical part describes real life in the countryside, particularly the situation of education in the 19th century. The main aim of the analytical part of the thesis is the focus on the way of capturing a school in the given literary works. The conclusion then compares different forms of depicting schools, which demonstrates the transformation of literature in the 19th century, and summarizes my findings from studying the issue and writing this thesis.
