Brownfields in Czech Republic, the possibilities of using brownfield sites on the practical example from Prague location

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je nastínit, a na úspěšných příkladech revitalizace názorně ukázat, možnosti využití brownfields v lokalitě Praha. Teoretická část obecně charakterizuje problematiku opuštěných území. V praktické části se dále definují negativa, které tyto pozemky působí svému okolí, uvádí se zde popis procesu revitalizace a jeho možné komplikace, instituce řešící tuto tématiku v ČR, možnosti financování projektů a další pojmy související s deprimovaným územím. Další část práce se zabývá analýzou výskytu pozemků brownfields v České republice a v hlavním městě Praze. V poslední části jsou zmíněny a porovnány dva praktické příklady využití brownfields v hl. m. Praze. Porovnávána je zejména atraktivnost lokality, způsob financování, velikost investice, doba procesu revitalizace a velikost konverze objektů.

Abstract:

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to determinate the possibilities of using brownfield sites in Prague locations. Theoretical part of this thesis generally characterizes the areas of abandoned territory. This part also defines negatives of brownfields, description of the process of revitalization and its complications, the institutions dealing with these problems in the Czech Republic, shows financial possibilities and other terms which are associated with depressed areas. The next part of the thesis analyzes the situation of brownfields lands in the Czech Republic and in Prague. In the last part of this thesis there are two practical examples of a successful revitalization in Prague mentioned. These examples are comparing the differences between these projects, especially the attractiveness of the locality, financial options, duration of the revitalization and the size of the transformation of the objects.
