Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá účelem trestání. Institut trestu je přiblížen prostřednictvím definic a funkcí, které plní. Hlavním cílem práce je popsat teorie, které trestání ospravedlňují – utilitarismus a retributivismus, přiblíženy jsou i jejich smíšené podoby. Abstract:
The bachelor thesis deals with the purpose of punishment. It describes the punishment using its definitions and fulfilling functions. The main topics are utilitarianism and retributivism. The thesis discusses also their mixed forms. Then, it studies effectiveness of punishment especially alternative sanctions, advantages and disadvantages of custodial sentences.
