Abstract:

This thesis defines techniques of creative accounting with the focus on earnings management. It discusses its legality, morality and the contrast with fair and true view. Each method is examined, presented on sample situation, and confronted with IAS/IFRS and Czech GAAP. This thesis can help managers to start practising earnings management techniques in future, but more importantly this thesis can help stakeholders identify such techniques while examining companies? financial statements and therefore prevent possible loses.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce definuje praktiky kreativního účetnictví se zaměřením na praktiku nazývající se earnings management, ta by se dala volně přeložit jako ?plánování výnosů?. Práce se zabývá jejich legalitou a správností s ohledem na zásadu věrného a poctivého zobrazení. Každá jednotlivá metoda je detailně prozkoumána, představena na případové studii a konfrontována s českými účetními předpisy a IAS/IFRS. Tato práce může pomoci manažerům takovéto praktiky začít aplikovat, ale především pomůže druhé straně tyto praktiky při analýze finančních výkazů odhalovat a předcházet tak případným ztrátám.
